With an average daytime temperature of 24.6 degrees centigrade in December, you certainly won’t need to pack those winter woollies for your trip to Florida.
This area is renowned for its fantastic beaches and exotic sea life, and even in December you’ll find local residents strolling on the beach, admiring tinsel-wrapped palm trees and Christmas-themed sand sculptures. In town, the streets glitter with seasonal lights and friends gather to eat together or drink festive cocktails.
Miami boasts a wide range of Christmas events and activities, from Santa’s Enchanted Forest – the world’s largest holiday theme park – to the Tri-Rail Winter Wonderland Celebration.
To get the ambience just right, Tri-Rail’s organisers import 20 tons of artificial snow and groups of carol singers to entertain the crowds.
