At the end of last year, agents Drew and Susan Gitlin of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties sold ‘Chartwell Estate’, for the record-breaking figure of $150,000,000.
After receiving very high interest from some of the world’s wealthiest billionaires, Drew and Susan sold the 25,000-square-foot estate to Lachlan Murdoch, son of Rupert Murdoch.
Previously home to the late media mogul Jerry Perenchio, the property has 11 bedrooms, 18 bathrooms, a 75 foot swimming pool, acres of gardens, secret underground tunnels, and ever a 12,000 bottle wine cellar. This is certainly a special property to say the least. Set in Bel Air, Los Angeles, Chartwell Estate sold, not only for the highest price for a ‘single family dwelling’ in LA, but also the highest price achieved in the whole state of California.
We congratulate Drew, Susan and Berkshire Hathaway California Properties on this wonderful achievement.
